Lenny's Sub Shop Unveils 'Economic Stimulus Package' Every guest is a winner in its national scratch-and-win celebration

MEMPHIS, Tenn.—BUSINESS WIRE -- Fueled by rewards that include a $100,000 cash grand prize, Lenny's Sub Shop on Nov. 15 is launching a 10th Anniversary nationwide Scratch-and-Win Sweepstakes at all 180 of its locations.

"It's an economic stimulus package for our loyal guests," said Brent Alvord, president of Lenny's Franchisor LLC, which franchises Lenny's Sub Shops. "And unlike many other stimulus packages, everyone who comes to Lenny's is guaranteed to be a winner."

In addition to the $100,000 jackpot, prizes range from free fountain drinks and sub sandwiches to party platters for 10 and gift cards up to $500.

The campaign, engineered by Chicago-based Robust Promotions, will distribute the Scratch-and-Win cards at each Lenny's Sub Shop restaurant for an estimated three to four weeks. Guests can redeem their winnings through Jan. 15, 2009.

In order to qualify for the $100,000 grand prize, guests will need to visit www.lennys.com to register a unique game code from their Scratch-and-Win game card. By the end of January, Lenny's will announce the lucky winner.

The original Lenny's Sub Shop opened in a Memphis suburb in September 1998. In August 2004, a partnership group led by George Alvord purchased the chain from founders Len and Sheila Moore.

Since then, the company has expanded rapidly, more than tripling its restaurant count and pre-signing deals for hundreds of additional units. Total system sales for 2008 are estimated to exceed $77 million, more than doubling 2006 system sales.

Behind the impressive numbers is Lenny's friendly, over-the-top guest service culture epitomized by its motto of "More Food, More Taste, More Personality(TM)."

The Lenny's Sub Shop menu features authentic Philly Cheesesteaks hot off the grill, freshly baked bread and cookies, and premium hand-sliced to order deli meats and cheeses that amount to nearly one pound on the mammoth 15-inch sub size.

Over the past 18 months, Robust Promotions' Scratch-and-Win expertise has increased sales for about 85 restaurant chains.
